Allison Erdle, Principal and Founder

Allison ErdleAllison Erdle, CFRE, is an experienced professional across business, nonprofit and foundation sectors. She has managed her own consulting company since 2006. Ms. Erdle has worked in education, the arts, international, service and faith based industries, and she has an understanding of the organizational, tactical, and leadership needs of the various sectors, along with the challenges that each may face, from investor relations to capital campaign development to community engagement for real estate development and implementing best practices with foundations. Ms. Erdle holds an international MBA and speaks Spanish fluently.

When she is not solving problems or ushering in great change for her clients, Allison lives with her husband, Garrett, and two labradors in Northern Virginia. She serves on the board of the Washington Forrest Foundation, and as a grant reader for the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia. She enjoys cooking, skiing, playing tennis, long walks with the dogs, and going on all sorts of adventures with her kids and family.

Ms. Erdle has served in varying philanthropic and development capacities for 30 years. She first worked with a sports marketing group for individuals with disabilities, traversing parts of the globe on a bicycle to raise awareness. Later, public relations and development for the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York taught her how to get doctors to share their expertise and how to navigate the world of New York media. Work with Turner Broadcasting in Argentina facilitated her ease with using different languages to get the workplace to communicate. Next, as second in command of a large capital campaign at her alma mater, Davidson College, she learned how a top notch organization runs its development process- as a hint, communications and leadership are key. More recently, she brought back to life the development function at a 40 year old non-governmental organization(NGO), the Pan American Development Organization (PADF) where her DC friends helped her learn acronyms in order to leverage support for this international economic development group. Working with Caterpillar, Cummins, Diageo, Citibank and other international entities, she supported their efforts to be great community partners and helped them meet their giving objectives sometimes mucking through mudslides to get the job done.
